Meet Our Directors
Our dream began as two moms who were seeking the same goal: A loving, caring and trusted Islamic environment for our young children. From our diverse backgrounds of business and teaching to our shared love of children and education, we formed Little Alim’s Academy.
Leena Khan-Farooqui, Director of Education
Leena has been teaching for over 10 years in Toronto, Calgary, New York City and Atlanta. She has experience in the Islamic, public and charter school settings. She received her Master of Education in Educational Research from the University of Calgary and has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Education from York University. Leena has organized several leadership programs, school wide fundraisers and mentored and trained fellow teachers. She is currently the Secretary for the United Islamic Schools of Atlanta (UISA). Leena resides with her husband Zain and 3 children in Marietta.
Raabia Siddiqui, Director of Business Operations
Raabia is an experienced business professional with a budgeting and planning background as well as a strategic focus on entrepreneurship. She has worked for many big name companies such as Macy’s, Accenture and most recently The Home Depot. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has successfully organized community events, from Ifthars to non-profit work and is well known in the Muslim community of Atlanta. Raabia lives in Marietta with her husband Mansoor and three daughters.
